Professor Chukwuemeka Jude Diji is currently an Associate Professor of mechanical engineering and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, Consultancy and Exten- sion at Kampala International University, Kam- pala, Uganda He is the Chair of the African Research Council on Sustainable Development (ARSCD) and Professional Research Council Member of the International Institute for Policy Review and Development Strategies (IIPRDS).

He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Nigerian Institution of Mechani- cal Engineers, the Automobile Engineers’ Institute and a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is also a member of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES), the Nation- al/International Association of Energy Economics, as well as a member of the African Round Table on Sustainable Consumption and Pro- duction (ARSCP), an arm of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).He is also serving as an Expert on the roster of experts of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

He is also an African Climate Leadership Fellow He has worked as the Head of Department of Mechan- ical Engineering of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, as an engineer and Production man- ager for a number of companies including, SOAG Drilling Co, the Leventis Group Beta Industries Ltd and Tolaram Clay Brick Indus- tries in Nigeria.

He has also served as an expert Reviewer for the Climate Research for Development (CR4D), a programme initiated by the African Academy of Science (AAS), the UK Depart- ment of International Development (DFID), Weather and Climate Information Services for Africa (WISER) and the African Climate Policy Centre (ACPC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). Professor Chukwuemeka Diji is a Certified International Professional Manager (CIPM) of the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA – UK). He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Masters of Science degree (MSc) in Mechani- cal Engineering from the University of Ibadan and a Bachelors of Science (B.Sc) from the Obafemi Awolowo University (Formerly the University of Ife). He also holds a professional postgraduate Diploma in Management Consul- tancy practice and Organizational Transforma- tion from the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA – UK) and his a Certi- fied International Professional Manager (CIPM) of the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA – UK) – License No: 0096781693.

He is also a Recipient of African Climate Lead- ership Certification by Strathmore University Business School, Nairobi, Kenya – ACLP – 2020/007 and Certification and Completion of Training in Scientific Writing and Communica- tion by AfriCLP from February – March, 2021. AfriCLP is an initiative of IDRC, Canada and implemented by the University of Nairobi, Kenya and the University of Dar–es–salaam, Tanzania
