Dr. Fred Paul Mark Jjunju is a Ugandan Scientist with over 10 years of experience in science and technology innovations. He received a B. Information Technology degree from Makerere University, in 2009, M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in 2010 as discovery scholar. In 2011, he was appointed as a Research Assistant with the Centre for Analytical Instrumentation, Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA. He received a PhD. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Liverpool, U.K., in 2017. In 2018 he was admitted as fellow to the UK higher Education Academy. He is currently a lecturer and a Research Fellow of the UK RI EPSRC funded project CASMS (Context Aware network architectures for Sending Multiple Senses), at the University of Liverpool. His research interests include the interdisciplinary aspects of the IoT design, optimization, AI algorithms, and data fusion to enable inexpensive analytical platforms for a variety of industrial, environmental, and biomedical applications. He is also an active member; of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the American Chemical Society, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the IEEE.
